It is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipe, conduit, or cable in an arc along a prescribed bore path by using a surface-launched drilling rig, with minimal impact on the surrounding area.

Directional boring is used when trenching or excavating is not practical. It is suitable for a variety of soil conditions and jobs including road, landscape and river crossings.

Microtunneling is a process that uses a remotely controlled Microtunnel Boring Machine (MTBM) combined with the pipe jacking technique to directly install product pipelines underground in a single pass. This process avoids the need to have long stretches of open trench for pipe laying, which causes extreme disruption to the community.

In pipe rehabilitation, a new liner is inserted inside the old broken pipeline, to increase the strength and overall life of the existing pipeline. Whereas, in pipe replacement, the old pipeline is replaced with a new line and is the only technique where the new line’s diameter can be marginally bigger than old pipeline.

Glass (fiber) reinforced polymer made of a plastic matrix, reinforced by fine fibers of glass and with admixture of fillers (silica), forming a thermosetting composite matrix.

Glass reinforced plastic offers a superior alternative to traditional materials as it is excellently waterproof, has exceptional chemical and mechanical properties, is light weight and highly abrasion resistant, thus being extremely versatile.

Particularly for manufacturing pipes, GRP is applicable for a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and types of pipes. GRP pipes are exceptionally strong and stable, although easy to handle and to install. They have a long service life expectancy, constant durability and dimensional stability.
